takaro trails

Takaro Trails2: Is wine your passion then this is the ride for you and your bike! With three exciting routes to chose from including the famous Gimblett Gravels, your spoiled for choice. Other routes also include Coastline and Taradale wineries, and Ahuriri to Havelock North.

Prices range from $50.00 - $99.00 per person. Costs includ bike and helmet hire, transfer too and from Napier or Hastings I-Site, riding instructions and water bottle.

Pandora Kayaks - Watersports and Bike Hire

Kayaks

They have a large range of kayaks in thier fleet including single and double sit-on-tops, sea kayaks, fishing kayaks, river and surfing kayaks.

You can take their kayaks to any of Hawke's Bays wonderful river, lake or coastal destinations. Alternatively you could stay local and eith explore Ahuriri's innner harbour and estuary areas, or just let the kids go crazy in Pandora Pond.

Surfboards

Hawke's Bay has some fantastic surfing beaches from Mahi right through to Kairakau.

Pandora Kayaks3: Their experienced staff can advise you on the best locations and what the forcasted conditions are likely to be.

They have a large range of surfboards and bodyboards to suit all abilities and an extensive range of wetsuits

Windsurfing and Sailing

When the wind is up Pandora Pond is the perfect spot to learn how to windsurf or sail.

They can cater for all ages an abilities If you are a beginner they have a full range of larger BIC boards which makes learning very easy.

Lessons are available on request.

Sup Boards

Come and enjoy the latest craze. Stand Up Paddle Boards (SUPS).

You can paddle around the estuary or you could take a board to one of Hawk'es Bay's lovely beaches and try your hand at SUP Surfing.

This new sport is grea fun and suprisingly easy.

Biking

Hawke's Bay is the ideal environment to explore on a bicycle.

There are numerour vineyards and other attractions within easy riding distance of Pandora Pond.

Pandora Kayaks4: Alternatively you could cycle around the lovely Art Deco city of Napier, taking in all the unique architecture, galleries and cafe's.

Gannet Safari's

gannet: Cape Kidnappers is the largest and most spectacular mainland nesting place of Gannets in the world. The 20,000 gannets are memebers of the Booby family with distinctive black eye markings and a pale gold crown. Visitors to the colony will see adults and young nesting in serried rows. In the air brids swoop and dive as they bring back fish. On the ground, the pairs preen and preform the dance of the gannets' recognition ritual.

Gannet Safari has been guiding visitors over Cape Kidnappers to the Gannets for over 30 years. The only way of being driven right to within a few feet of these remarkable birds - there is NO WALKING.

The coach tarverses riverbeds, broad rolling pastures, through stands of native bush, steep gullies and breathtaking inclines. There is a stop on the way at a spectacular cliff top with panoramic views of Hawke's Bay right to Mahia Peninsula. The amazing geology of the area can also be taken in. The 3 hour trip includes a comentary by the tour guide on the farming operation on Cape Kidnappers and an introduction to the gannets.

Tours depart September to April Daily at 9.30am and 1.30am.

Venture up the East Coast for an unforgettable experience in the Morere Caves. Explore the massive cave network, see the spectacular glow-worm displays and rock formations. Gorging
